Tony McNally was brought up into a musical family and is a prodigious talent.  He toured the UK performing from the tender age of 8, playing 2 or more gigs per week with his family show ‘Mike Mason & The Little People”.  Way before ‘X Factor and BGT’ were conceived, he fronted the band singing ‘Nobody’s Child’ on TV’s ‘Opportunity Knocks’, winning by audience ‘Clapometer’ and releasing his first ‘vinyl’ record at the age of 12.  He went on to win 1st place in a National UK Drum Soloist Competition organised by the Drummers’ Alliance.  Tony’s theatre credits include his work with percussion artists ‘Stomp’, ‘Live Theatre’ and ‘Northern Stage’.  He has grown to be a truly international artist: from being the opening act for ‘Buddy Guy’ in Cologne and headlining at the Markthalle/Hamburg as a member of ‘The Whisky Priests’, to his popular one man shows in Europe.

As a composer, his credits include the soundtrack for the TV documentary ‘The World & Manchester United’ (SKY).  His track ‘High Level Waltz’ (from his album The River) was used as the title track for a TV Arts programme, and his song ‘My Angel of The North’ is highly regarded as an anthem for the North East of England.

Tony is amongst the small percentage of highly regarded educationalists in the UK who have achieved ‘Advanced Skills Teacher’ status in music.  He continues to be much in demand as a session musician and with his online teaching and masterclasses.  Tony has presented many drum clinics, including many masterclasses with Drumming’s Global Ambassador ‘Dom Famularo.’

Finally, Tony is founder of multi-award winning ToneAlly teaching tools and is currently working on his 4th album, along with his first drum book, both due for commercial release 2023 (date tbc).
